A Farmers’ Market and Sustainability Festival is to take place in George Street, Aberdeen, this summer.
The event, funded by Aberdeen City Council’s U-Decide Community Funding Initiative and Aberdeen Inspired, will run from 10am-4pm on Saturday, 7th July, in the pedestrianised area next to John Lewis and Bon Accord Centre.
Over the coming weeks the Greater George Street Traders’ Association (GGSTA), the event organizer, will be asking local businesses how the market and festival can best help the area.
GGSTA chairman Stuart Milne said: “It is now time the traders in George Street consider how they may best tap into this event in order to derive a commercial benefit from the festival.”
