The City Centre Masterplan (CCMP) was unanimously adopted in June 2015 by Aberdeen City Council.
A number of checks and balances are in place to ensure the CCMP is properly managed and that project timetables and budgets are adhered to.
A City Centre Reference Group (including external stakeholders and cross-party political representation) scrutinizes the Masterplan’s direction of travel against its objectives. A Programme Board (made up of senior council officers and representatives of partner organisations) oversees delivery and considers project inter-dependency.
Applications for individual CCMP projects are subject to normal planning rules.
