The Masterplan belongs to the city in the widest sense. The regeneration blueprint was shaped through extensive public consultation.
In bringing forward and refining projects, community engagement continues. Surveys have taken place on options for new public realm space on Broad Street, plans for revitalising Union Terrace Gardens, a “Hall of Heroes” at Provost Skene’s House, and Aberdeen in Colour (below), a creative lighting strategy for the city centre.
The length of any consultation will be influenced by project timescale, the public’s familiarity with the project, the response analysis required, and cost.
